Prabowo Pilgrimage to the Tomb of the Fighters of Joao Tavares, To Atambua

FaktaId.faktaid.com Presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto today traveled to Atambua, Belu Regency, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT). His visit to Atambua was in order to stay in touch with his friends who were pro-integration fighters of East Timor to the Republic of Indonesia.

Before the meeting, Prabowo took time to visit the grave at Seroja Heroes' Cemetery (TMP), Atambua. The tomb of Joao Tavares who was the Commander in Chief of the pro-integration of East Timor to the NKRI became his destination.
There, the Head of the Gerindra Party also met with the family of Joao Tavares. Together with the Tavares family, Prabowo offered prayers to the fighters and sprinkled flowers on the tomb.

Prabowo said, the services of heroes must always be remembered. The spirit of nationalism embedded in the soul and body of the fighters must be used as an example by the Indonesian people.

"We must remember the services of those who are our heroes. They dare to sacrifice their lives and bodies to defend the Indonesian nation and state. And their spirit of nationalism must be emulated by all Indonesian people," Prabowo said in a written statement on Thursday.

After the pilgrimage, the ex Kopassus Danjen also took the time to greet the residents who were waiting for him. Prabowo also appeared to be carrying a boy brought by his parents to meet him.

"Wow, what's your name, kid? If it's big, you have to be a hero for your parents, for your nation and country," said candidate number 02 while holding the child. The plan, after a pilgrimage and meeting with his struggle friends who are pro-integration fighters for East Timor to the Republic of Indonesia, is also scheduled to meet with the people of NTT, especially residents of Atambua. During this visit, Prabowo was accompanied by leaders and members of the National Winning Body (BPN) Prabowo-Sandi from the Gerindra Party such as Farry Djemi Francis, Hashim Djojohadikusumo, and Sugiyono.
