Prabowo Reminds State Property Leaks, At End of Year Speech.

LiputanNet. Presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto again spoke about 'leaking' Indonesia's wealth. According to him, currently there are still a lot of wealth of countries that 'stay' abroad.

This was conveyed by Prabowo when responding to a complaint from one of the attendees at the Year-End National Lecture in Hambalang, Bogor, West Java, Saturday. Prabowo initially explained that injustice, inequality and poverty in Indonesia were due to the source of state assets controlled by foreigners.

"My answer is the same. Injustice, those who live are difficult, distribution is not right, the key is our source of wealth does not live in Indonesia, is controlled by foreigners. If we control this, if we reduce corruption," Prabowo said in a published video on Facebook on Sunday. Prabowo did not continue the sentence.

Prabowo then stated that Indonesia lost Rp 1,000 trillion annually from the country's wealth. He then reminded his statement about 'leakage' in the presidential debate on the 2014 presidential election which had become a matter of ridicule.

In fact, according to Prabowo, the government of Joko Widodo (Jokowi) later admitted that there was a leak of state wealth. In 2016, Bambang Brodjonegoro, who at that time was still Minister of Finance, indeed mentioned that there were IDR 11,400 trillion in Indonesian citizens' parked funds abroad.
